He has given us another energizer-bunny! Neely has every bit the energy of our precious Sean! She is so busy, busy, busy!
Rob made it in safely late last night. Sean and Neely were asleep but he was able to hold a book light over her to get his first glimpse. :-) We met our guide in the lobby at 9am this morning to go get our family photo take for the adoption registration. Sean did not have to go so he stayed with Bubby. After the photo, we went to the adoption registration office to make our adoption official in the eyes of China. Next stop was the Notary where everything was finalized. We are officially Neely's parents now!
Neely slept all through the night last night just getting up once to potty. She woke up at 6 this morning and BaBa (Daddy) came and got in bed with us. She gave him snuggles, rubbed his face and hair and gave him kisses. She called him BaBa right away. Then she sat up and loudly called for Ge-Ge (big brother)! She was a little cranky this morning and is definitely testing the boundaries! I have heard from other families that they felt their children had never been disciplined and we see that with Neely, too. We will get there and all is good! She is a very happy, cheerful, bright little girl with oodles of personality. We do not see any signs of the mental delay she was diagnosed with. She repeats everything, has learned lots of animal sounds that Sean has been teaching her, and is very clever. She can skip, jump, run, dance, sing, talk, laugh.....
Today she has definitely wanted MaMa to carry her and hold her hand. If BaBa or Sean or LaoLao (Bubby, my Mom) try to take her she fusses for MaMa. She is happy with anyone else as long as I am around.
Sean is doing really well and I know it has been hard for him. He has wanted to play with her but for now she is too possessive of her toys and gets mad when he touches anything. We will work on that.
We are all smitten! And she is OURS!!!!!

I love that Neely rubbed daddy's face and gave kisses!! That's so sweet and his heart must have just exploaded!! Glad he made it into town!! Glad things are going so good with Neely and sounds like Sean is a fabulous big brother!! Glad your mom can be with you as well. Big hugs to you and can you post some more pictures?? I think I'm having withdrawals of not seeing enough of your little cutie!!
Hmmm, testing the boundires, not wanting to share toys, boundless energy...Neely sounds like a perfectly typical 4 year old to me! There is nothing better than that!

So glad the whole family is together now!!! And as for the discipline thing... totally understand. Same with the possessive thing... It'll all come, with time and patience! :o) Kuddos to Sean for taking things in stride!!!
Wow....what a wonderful little girl. I get goose bumps watching your video. She is so so beautiful and she looks like she has a perky fun personality! I am so happy for your family and that your experience has been so joyous. As it should be!!! Thank you for sharing.
